The body of a man aged between 50 and 60 has been found in a reservoir near Clay Cross.
The discovery was made by a member of the public, who called police at around 3pm today, after spotting the body at Ogston Reservoir.
A spokesman for Derbyshire police said: "The man was of slim build, and was balding with dark hair. He was wearing a black, zipped jacket, a navy sweatshirt and blue jeans.
"Police have checked missing person's records and have not been able to identify the man.
"Officers want to hear from anyone who might know the identity of the man, or may know someone matching that description who they have not seen for a short time."
