A 37-YEAR-OLD Derby man has been arrested in connection with a break-in at some allotments.
The man was arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal after being stopped by officers in the city yesterday.
The alleged offence relates to a burglary of a shed at allotments in The Ropewalk, Ilkeston.
Police say the fence was cut so that offenders could gain entry to the gardens between noon on Sunday and 10am yesterday.
A large amount of tools were taken from inside the shed which a force spokesman said had been "ransacked."
Anyone who has information should call police on 101.
