AROUND 300 new call centre jobs are to be created in Derby to handle customer service calls on behalf of digital communications company EE.
The firm has partnered with Webhelp UK, which has a large call centre on Pride Park, to create the roles.
The Derby site is already home to around 1,200 staff who handle customer service and sales inquiries on behalf of media giant Sky.
EE said it had already started recruiting for the roles, which will boost its levels of customer service.
Webhelp UK chief executive David Turner said: "This is a significant opportunity for Webhelp UK as we continue to grow as a business and this new partnership with EE will also allow us to create a large number of new team member roles in Derby."
