A BRITAIN'S Got Talent star will be performing his BMX bike tricks at the opening of Derby's new cycle hub.
The Park Bikeworks, in Full Street, officially opens at 11am on Saturday. Joe Oakley, who appeared on the show in 2009, will be performing alongside the Extreme Mountain Bike Show.
The centre will provide free, secure cycle parking, showers and changing facilities, physiotherapy, a repairs service, cycle and accessories shop and a cafe.
The centre has been helped by £495,000 from the Local Sustainable Transport Fund, taken from £4.9 million which Derby City Council successfully bid for from the Department for Transport, and a further £170,000 from the Derby Enterprise Growth Fund, covering costs for fixtures and fittings, training, staff and marketing for two years.
Councillor Asaf Afzal said: "It will act as a destination venue for cyclists, encouraging more people to benefit from cycling in the city."
