ENGLAND fans from Derby will be roaring on their heroes in Brazil on Thursday.
A group of eight excited supporters from The Neptune pub in Osmaston Road will be touching down tomorrow ahead of England's crunch match against Uruguay.
The trip was jointly organised by Mick Sephton, who spent eight hours tracking down the best deals for the group.
Rams fan Nick, known by his nickname of Seph, said: "We spent a long time looking round for the best deals and managed to get all our flights and hotels for £1,700.
"That is about £2,200 less than the official trips that have been organised."
For Mick, who was brought up in Mickleover, it will be his first time visiting the country and he is looking forward to the carnival atmosphere.
He said: "It is going to be amazing.
"The whole experience is going to be something else.
"We will be out there for 10 days and from what I have seen the atmosphere looks incredible."
The group will begin their trip in São Paulo, where they will watch England's match against their South American opponents.
They then travel to Rio for sightseeing before heading to Belo Horizonte where England take on Costa Rica in the final group match.
Fellow traveller David Wright, 56, is looking forward to both the football and the culture of the country.
The Derby County season ticket-holder, said: "The game on Thursday is a real crunch match.
"It is like a cup match for us.
"And even if we win it then we are going to have another one against Costa Rica, who showed they could play the other night."
Back in Derby a specially made World Cup gelato, Italian for ice-cream, is on sale to raise money for a children's football team.
Scoops, on Normanton Road, makes all its own gelato on-site and will be donating the money from each scoop sold to the Normanton All Stars under 13s.
The owner of the shop, Farhan Ahmed, said: "We have made 55 litres and if we sell it all then we will get £460.
"All the money will go to helping towards their match fees and equipment."
The Derby Telegraph is going to be roaring on England tomorrow Thursday and we want your pictures for the newspaper.
