TWO men are being questioned following a distraction burglary involving an 84-year-old woman in Chaddesden.
West Midlands police stopped a van containing two men last night - eight hours after the alleged incident happened in Oakleigh Avenue.
The woman discovered two purses missing from her home at about 2pm, after two men had called and agreed a price to cut her hedge. She managed to get the vehicle registration as they drove away and called the police.
A Derbyshire police spokeswoman said: "The pair, who have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, were taken to Stoke initially and have now been transferred to Derbyshire where we will be questioning them further about the incident."
