A 16-YEAR-OLD was punched by a bully and forced to kiss his shoes in a shocking incident at a Burton construction school.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was singled out by Macauley Carroll, 18, at the Chameleon School of Construction's Burton site, in Hawkins Lane after a row over a sandwich.
Burton Magistrates' Court heard Carroll and a group of cohorts targeted the boy after a sandwich, which had hit him on the head, was tossed back in their direction.
Carroll, of Lime Grove, Stapenhill, who was not a student at the centre, rounded on the teenager, before putting him in a headlock and ordering him to kiss his shoes as he swore at him and called him vile names.
He did what he was told as he "was worried what would happen if he didn't", Sam Frazer, prosecuting, told the court.
The victim was ordered not to speak a word of the incident, but relayed what had happened to his mother.
The following day, May 18, they crossed paths again in the eating area.
When Carroll saw the boy, he ordered everyone to leave apart from a friend who was to stay and record what was about to happen.
He allegedly said, "I'll show you what happens to people who grass in Burton", before punching the boy in the face.
The court head he then laughed at his victim as blood poured from his nose.
Carroll was yesterday jailed for six months after telling magistrates he was unwilling to comply with any community penalty that might be coming his way.
Chameleon School of Construction declined to comment on the incident.
Ms Frazer said the degrading attack left the boy scared to go out in Burton for fear of running into his attacker.
She said: "He said he was really upset and felt like a piece of meat being slapped about. He said he had gone to Chameleon to learn skills but this has ruined it for him and that he was worried about going into to school and going into Burton."
Carroll pleaded guilty to two counts of assault.
Magistrates said the nature of the attack and the fact it was filmed and happened on an educational premises was behind their decision to jail him for six months.
