FIREFIGHTERS had to force their way into a flat which had caught flames – fearing people were possibly trapped inside.
They were called to the property in Derby Road, Chellaston, at 5.15pm yesterday.
But the crews discovered no-one was inside the flat and they put out the flames within an hour. There was smoke damage caused to the property.
