AN early goal has left Derby County trailing Blackpool 1-0 at half-time in their Championship clash at the iPro Stadium.
Isaiah Osbourne's glancing header from a Tom Ince free kick put the Seasiders ahead in only the third minute.
Derby laregly dominated the rest of the opening period but could not find an equaliser.
Neal Bishop came to Blackpool's rescue on more than one occasion, blocking Simon Dawkins' shot after the Rams man had been released by Chris Martin.
Bishop then got in the way of Martin's goalbound effort after 33 minutes, from Dawkins' low centre.
Another Dawkins cross found Craig Bryson in front of goal moments later but the midfielder scooped the ball over the bar from close range.
Derby had a penalty appeal turned down in the 43rd minute when they through Jamie Ward's corner had struck the arm of Bishop in the area but referee Andy Haines was unmoved.
