DERBY County transfer target Lukas Jutkiewicz could be on his way to Burnley.
The Clarets are reported to be leading the chase for the 25-year-old Middlesbrough striker.
Derby asked about Jutkiewicz but felt the asking price of around £1.5m was too high.
Burnley, it seems, have agreed to meet the price tag and have been given permission to speak to the player Jutkiewicz and his representatives.
Bolton Wanderers and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in Jutkiewicz.
The former Coventry City forward scored seven goals in 20 games while on loan at Bolton last season but was made available for transfer when Boro boss Aitor Karanka decided he did not form part of his future plans.
Boro paid £1.3m to sign Jutkiewicz in January 2012.
