A BANNED motorist who drove a car while over the drink-drive limit has been jailed.
Gary Morton, of Albemarle Road, Chaddesden, was caught driving over the limit on the street where he lives on May 15.
The 45-year-old admitted drink-driving and driving when disqualified and with no insurance and was jailed for 18 weeks. Magistrates in Derby said they sent him to prison because of his "appalling driving record" and he was a persistent offender.
They also ordered him to be banned from driving for five years.
