THE Derby Telegraph receives lots of letters each week on issues affecting Derby and Derbyshire, as well as further afield. This one looks at Derby City Council.
IT must be nice that Derby City Council leader Ranjit Banwait has the ability to recruit a PA, "Job helping city's leader pays up to £41,000 a year" (July 22).
This is after he decides to continue to work part-time in his bank job, "New Derby City Council leader Ranjit Banwait to maintain part-time bank job" (May 30).
In Alvaston, we have bins overflowing and rubbish left in the streets. Perhaps this £41,000 could be better used to pay for services across Derby.
