LEEDS United are closing in on a deal to bring Peterborough United forward Nicky Ajose to Elland Road.
The two clubs have agreed a fee for the 22-year-old former Manchester United youth team player and it is thought he will undertake a medical in Leeds later today.
Meanwhile, Leeds are thought to be close to signing a second player from Serie A in as many days following the loan deal of Zan Benedicic from AC Milan.
Reports suggest the latest target is Juventus centre-back Frederik Sorensen, who could join on a season-long loan like Benedicic.

CARDIFF City's Joe Lewis is set to sign for Championship rivals Blackpool.
The 6ft 4ins goalkeeper, 26, looks certain to join Blackpool on a season-long loan after making just one Premier League appearance for Cardiff last season, when first-choice keeper David Marshall was injured.
Marshall will start against Blackburn on Friday, with Simon Moore, signed from Brentford, the back-up goalkeeper.
