TWO arrests were made overnight on a traveller site set up on Chester Green.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said two men were arrested at 1.15am today.
One was for suspected assault and the other for suspected breach of the peace.
Both remain in custody.
It is thought that some of the travellers on Chester Green are the same as those who had been on a Spondon field yesterday.
That group of travellers were filmed appearing to break open a gate.
By 12.30pm today police and Derby City Council had moved the group on from Chester Green. They left eight bags of rubbish behind which have been cleared by local residents using a cart. A police spokeswoman said: "Police worked with the council to move on travellers that were on public land in Derby."Travellers moved to the Chester Green area of the city last night and police worked together with Derby City Council in order to get them moved on at the earliest opportunity.
"It is thought that some of the travellers are from a group that arrived at a park in Hobson Drive, Spondon yesterday afternoon.
"At that time an allegation of criminal damage was made and the circumstances surrounding this are still being reviewed by the police.
"There were two arrests made for minor public order related offences at the Chester Green site last night and the investigation into these arrests is on-going."
