BURTON Albion hit back after going a goal down to Championship side Wigan Athletic to book a place in the second round draw for the Capital One Cup at the Pirelli Stadium last night

Marc-Antoine Fortune put the visitors ahead with a shot from the right side of the box into the bottom left corner in the 27th minute.

But the Brewers levelled on the stroke of half-time when John Mousinho's cross was converted by Dominic Knowles.

And they stunned the Lancashire outfit in the 52nd minute, Stuart Beavon firing home from inside the box into the bottom corner of the net after an assist by Lucas Akins.

Despite mounting pressure in the last 10 minutes, Albion held on for a famous victory.
