AN eight-year-old girl inspired her family and friends to help Derby's homeless by organising a Christmas fair.
Sophia Whittaker asked her mother, Jen Whittaker, and Jen's partner, Simon Jones, what she could do to help them after discussing cuts being made by Derby City Council.
So, between the three of them, the family decided to organise a craft sale at The Venue in Abbey Street, Derby.
Funds raised from the event will go to the Padley Centre, in Derby.
Stallholders mainly brought artwork to sell, with some of their proceeds going to the charity, while Sophia made bracelets to sell for her customers.
The event has raised a fantastic total of £610.86 for the Padley Centre.
