DERBY County have entered a team in this season's Final Third Development League Cup.
The Rams' under-21 side will take part in the competition, having accepted an invitation from the Football League.
Lee Glover's men have been drawn in Group B of the Northern Section alongside Mansfield Town, Doncaster Rovers, Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town.
The teams will play two matches at home and two away, with the group winners qualifying for the semi-finals.
Derby start their cup campaign away to Mansfield on Wednesday, October 1 (7pm) at a venue to be confirmed.
The Rams then host Doncaster at their training ground on Tuesday, November 11 (1pm) and Rotherham at the same venue on Monday, December 8 (1pm).
Their final group game will be at Huddersfield's training ground on Tuesday, January 20 (1pm).
