Police are investigating reports that a firearm was discharged in a Derby street last night.
Officers were called to Gerard Street at 9pm after a group of people allegedly forced their way into a house and assaulted the occupants.
Four have been arrested.
A police spokesman said: "Officers have been told that some type of firearm was discharged both inside and outside the property
"Just after 9pm last night (Saturday September 6 2014) police attended an address in Gerard St in Derby. A number of people had allegedly forced their way into the premises and assaulted the occupants."
Police are working to confirm the firearm report.
Two occupants of the house sustained minor injuries, but not as a result of being shot.
The suspects are aged between 26 and 32.
