MARTIN Rowe has reportedly stepped down as manager of Evo-Stik Division One South side Gresley.
Rowe, the former Mickleover Sports boss, is thought to have resigned before today's trip to Goole, which the Moatmen lost 4-2 after scuppering a two-goal lead.
Meanwhile, David Mellor's second half strike made it three wins for Alfreton Town – and saw them move out of the bottom four in the Conference.
Mellor's strike, in the 62nd minute, came against Nuneaton United at the Impact Arena.
In the Evo-Stik Premier Division, a goal from Joe Leesley came too late as Matlock Town were beaten 3-1 by Nantwich Town. Buxton beat visitors Belper Town 3-0 while Ilkeston were beaten 4-2 by Ramsbottom United at the New Manor Ground.
There was better news for Mickleover Sports, though, who beat Chasetown 4-0 with Karl Ashton netting twice.
Long Eaton United beat Boldmere St Michaels 2-1 in the Midlands Alliance, while Heanor Town were beaten 1-0 at Cleethorpes Town in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.
South Normanton Athletic and Borrowash Victoria drew 1-1 in the East Midlands Counties East League.
