CUTS to Derbyshire's mobile library service, children centre's and council-funded buses have today been confirmed.
Cabinet members rubber-stamped a string of cost-cutting proposals at a meeting at County Hall, Matlock, this morning.
Decisions include:
- Axing eight out of ten mobile libraries
- Closing two children centres (Duffield and Ashbourne)
- Stopping funding for community transport schemes, including the Dial-A-Bus service
The Labour cabinet members blamed Government-imposed cuts to council budgets.
Councillor Dave Allen called it a "sad day".
