A MAN has been taken to hospital after a camper van he was working on collapsed on him during Saturday lunchtime.
Fire crews from Ascot Drive and Nottingham Road stations attended the scene at Wilmington Avenue in Alvaston and helped to raise the vehicle.
A doctor and ambulance stood by while the man was rescued and he was later taken to hospital, although his condition is not known.
Derbyshire police confirmed they were informed about the incident but had not attended.
