A huge water leak left parts of Little Eaton without water for about two hours.
The incident happened near the Queen's Head pub in Alfreton Road.
According to Matt Wilkinson, 20, assistant manager at the pub, the water only returned at 9pm.
He said: "The whole road was flooded and it was up the pavement as well. The water only returned back on at 9pm.
"We have had to turn people away and we obviously can't serve food without water.
"But, it is all OK now."
