PUPILS will be able to return to a Derby secondary school this morning after being sent home yesterday afternoon because of problems with the water supply.
Engineers were called to Noel-Baker School in Alvaston, which, according to head teacher Mal Kerr, involved the main pump.
He said there had not been any water on the site from noon and this had meant no flushing toilets, drinking water or hand washing facilities. The kitchen also had to close down.
Mr Kerr has now confirmed the school would reopen this morning, though some remedial works will be taking place at the site today.
