DERBY County defender Cyrus Christie could be in line for a Republic of Ireland call-up.
The right-back was born in Coventry but has Irish heritage, according to reports.
Ireland boss Martin O'Neill is said to have contacted the 22-year-old, whose Rams club-mates Jeff Hendrick and Richard Keogh are already part of the squad.
O'Neill's first-choice right-back Seamus Coleman has been ruled out of the upcoming Euro qualifiers against Gibraltar and world champions Germany with a hamstring injury.
However, it is thought unlikely that Christie will be called upon in time for either of those games.
