An unnamed man who has died in Macedonia is suspected to be the first British victim of the Ebola outbreak that has killed thousands in West Africa.
The disease has now spread to North America and Europe and an investigation has been launched by the Foreign Office.
It is generally being argued by politicians that the most effective method of tackling the outbreak is to direct resources to battling the disease in West Africa.
Airports may screen people from the continent who come into the country to see if they have the disease.
