Halley's Comet is to make an appearance in the skies over Derbyshire later this month, decades before it was expected to be seen.
The comet is usually visible every 75 years and was next due to streak across the night sky until 2061.
However, a trail of Halley's cosmic dust is expected to be visible in the sky on October 21 and 22 2014.
And the best time to see it will be around midnight.
