ALFRETON Town return to action after a 10-day break tonight when they take on Bristol Rovers at the Impact Arena (7.45pm).
It will be the Reds' first-ever meeting with the Pirates, who were relegated from the Football League last season.
Rovers are currently fifth in the Vanarama Conference Premier table, while Alfreton are third from bottom.
However, Nicky Law's men have won three of their last four home league games and claimed a 1-0 victory at Altrincham last time out.
Rovers were in action at the weekend, losing 1-0 at Tranmere Rovers in the first round proper of the FA Cup.
Darrell Clarke's side have won three times on the road in the league so far, at Lincoln City, Southport and AFC Telford United.
Law has no fresh injury worries, with only midfielder Andi Thanoj (ankle) and defender Dan Gray (groin) still missing, apart from striker Karl Hawley, who serves the second game of a three-match suspension for his red card in the FA Cup replay defeat at Lincoln.
Derbyshire rivals Matlock Town and Ilkeston go head-to-head at the Autoworld Arena in the second round of the Doodson Sport Cup this evening.
Belper Town take a break from their Evo-Stik League Premier Division struggles as they entertain Grantham Town.
Nailers boss Jon Froggatt believes a cup win could help kick-start their league campaign.
"I'm still confident we'll stay in this league and I'm certainly not down," said Froggatt in the wake of Saturday's 3-0 loss at Workington.
"And If I'm not down, then nobody else should be.
"We are good enough but we need to believe in ourselves more and put that little bit more fight into our performances.
"It sounds simple but I'm positive that it'll come.
"We play in a cup game tonight and I'll field a strong side.
"Hopefully, if we win that game, that can give us the winning mentality we need to start getting a little run together."
Elsewhere in the competition. Gresley hosts Loughborough Dynamo and Mickleover Sports travel to Spalding United.
The Derbyshire Senior Cup second round also takes places this week.
Tonight's ties (see above) include Heanor Town at home to Borrowash Victoria and Hilton Harriers travelling to Graham Street Prims.
