JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink is relishing the challenge of facing League Two's top three sides in his first three matches in charge.
The new Burton Albion boss takes his side to third-placed Wycombe tonight (7.45pm) in front of the Sky cameras.
Hasselbaink could be forgiven for wanting an easier start to his time as Brewers manager – but he is ready for the challenge.
"It will be a tricky start for us against some difficult opposition in the early games," he said.
"I don't mind starting against the league leaders – it's a challenge. It doesn't matter to me that they are number one – that's the challenge of being a manager.
"We're looking upwards. I'm a winner and that's what I want to give to my players.
"There's already a winning mentality and a positive mentality and we are going to try to keep that going."
After tonight's trip to Wycombe, the Brewers host new leaders Luton Town following their win over Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, before visiting second-placed Shrewsbury Town – three matches against the division's current top three.
Hasselbaink is not fazed by the run of tough fixtures against the division's form sides.
"My focus is to get good things with this club," he said. "We want to get success with Burton Albion.
"Gary (Rowett) has done exceptionally well and we want to build on that."
