ELVASTON joined Spondon at the top of Derbyshire Indoor Cricket League Division One when they inflicted a second defeat of the season on champions Aston-on-Trent.
Aston are currently without skipper Faisal Khan, who is away, and it showed as they came up 13 runs short of Elvaston's 126-4, despite Trevor Archibald's 52.
There were first wins of the season for Rolls-Royce, who beat West Hallam, and Nutbrook, who beat Stainsby Hall.
Spondon, who were not in action, are still unbeaten and looking like they will take some stopping this season.
Spondon's B team are also setting the pace in Division Two, although they lost their unbeaten record when they fell 17 runs short of Marehay's 127-4 at the weekend.
Dan Palmer made 27 not out and took 3-9 for Marehay, while Luke Palmer hit 40.
Alvaston & Boulton bowled out Brailsford for only 56 and cruised past the target with three wickets down and Richard Ottewell unbeaten on 30.

Division Two: Elvaston B 117-3 (R Clark 40*, A Johnson 25*) beat Rolls-Royce B 116-4 (N Khalid 25*, M Ali 38*) by 3 wickets. A&B 57-3 (R Ottewell 30*, A Rauf 2-22) beat Brailsford 56 (C Crowther 2-15) by 3 wickets. Ilkeston 95-4 (G Brandrick 40*) beat Quarndon 94 (W Richardson 31, Z Ahmed 30, Henshaw 2-36, P Burrow 2-27) by 2 wickets, Marehay 127-2 (L Palmer 40, M Dobbs 34, D Palmer 27*) beat Spondon B 110 (J Hurst 31, D Palmer 3-9) by 17 runs.
