ADAM Peaty won his third silver of the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Qatar.
The City of Derby star was joint second in the 50m breastroke final in Doha with South Africa's Cameron Van Der Burgh in 25.87.
Gold went to Brazil's Felipe Franca Silva, who won in a Championship record 25.63.
The Brazilian also beat Peaty to gold in the 100m breaststroke final last week.
As well as taking silver in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, Peaty, from Uttoxeter, was also in the British team that finished second in the 4x50m mixed relay.
After scoring his latest silver, he was back in the pool one last time in the men's 4x100m medley relay.
Peaty swam a stunning breaststroke leg to pull Britain from seventh to first.
They fell back to fifth in the end but still set another British record in 3:22.78.
Peaty set five individual British records at this meet, which he approached with no particular expectations.
He said: "I enjoyed it. I haven't had time to work on my start so I wanted to get back in and smash that. This has given me extra oomph.
"I was a bit iffy coming in. I didn't know what I wanted. I didn't know what to expect or what sort of shape I was in."
Britain won eight medals in all at the championships, seven silver and one bronze, while 15 British records were set
Peaty, from Uttoxeter, is one of the nominees for the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year, which takes place in Glasgow on December 14, when he will be up against the likes of superstar golfer Rory McIlroy and newly-crowned Formula One world champion racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
