A BUS fire at Heanor Market Place has closed the A608.
The road is closed between Ilkeston Road and High Street, causing long tailbacks in the area.
The fire broke out at 7.15am and is now out.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said the driver and passengers were "safe and well".
