JOHNNY Russell returns to the Derby County starting line-up to face Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium on Sunday (3pm).
The Scottish striker, fit again after a broken leg, replaces the injured Jamie Ward (knee) in the only change to the team that won 1-0 at Bournemouth last weekend.
Russell came off the bench in that game and will make his first start since September against Wigan.
New loan signing from Manchester United, Michael Keane, has to settle for a place among the substitutes.
There are also spots on the bench for midfielders Jeff Hendrick and Kalifa Cisse, and goalkeeper Adam Legzdins.
Hendrick's long-awaited return from an ankle injury was delayed due to illness at Bournemouth, Cisse has recovered from an infected toe and Legzdins (ankle) is also back in the squad.
Conor Sammon, who joined the Rams from Wigan, is also in the matchday 18.
"It's unfortunate for Jamie Ward," said Rams first-team coach Paul Simpson. "The knee injury he picked up at Bournemouth meant he wasn't able to take part in today's game.
"But it is a nice situation to be in when his replacement is Johnny Russell, who has worked extremely hard to get himself back fit again.
"It is probably a good time for him, in that he had a bit of a run out against Bournemouth to get a little taster and another full week of training, combined with some time on the pitch in the under-21s earlier in the week, so I am sure there will be a spring in his step."
On centre-half Keane not making the starting line-up, Simpson added: "It is credit to Richard Keogh and Jake Buxton.
"They have been solid there and given us a real base by helping the side get two clean sheets.
"Michael will have to bide his time. He is a great addition to the squad and I am delighted we have been able to get him.
"Hopefully, at some point, he may be needed but the two of them have got the shirt at the minute and another clean sheet today will go a long way to helping them keep them."
Keane's twin brother, Will, starts up front for FA Cup holders Wigan, having also left Manchester United on loan on Thursday.
Latics boss Owen Coyle makes three changes to the side that started Thursday's Europa League tie against Belgian side FC Zulte Wagerem.
Ivan Ramis and Ben Watson are recalled, while new boy Keane makes his debut.
