A STRETCH of the M1 has been reopened after an earlier crash involving two lorries - caused widespread travel chaos.
All three lanes are now open on the southbound carriageway at Leicestershire between junction 23, at Loughborough, and junction 22, at Coalville.
There were reports of delays of one hour and 30 minutes for Derbyshire drivers heading south towards London.
Police said this was because of a "serious accident" involving two lorries. Tailbacks were reported to be as far back as junction 23a, near East Midlands Airport.
