A 30-YEAR-OLD Derbyshire man remains in hospital in a stable condition after being stabbed while on holiday in Yorkshire.
Gavin Watson, from Belper, is in the James Cook University Hospital, in Teesside, after being allegedly attacked outside the Hare and Hounds pub, in High Hawkser, near Whitby.
North Yorkshire Police say the 30-year-old was staying at York House Caravan Site in the village at the time of the incident, on Sunday at 10pm.
A 31-year-old local man, Michael Turford, was arrested in the early hours of the following day and has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed weapon and driving while under the influence of alcohol.
He has already appeared at Scarborough Magistrates' Court, where he was remanded and will appear at York Crown Court on May 1.
