NUISANCE motorcyclists have been riding dangerously around Alvaston Park.
Police officers from the area's safer neighbourhood team have received reports from residents that motorcycles are being ridden in a dangerous manner.
Sgt Simon Hawley, who manages the team, said: "This mainly happens at weekends.
"The motorcycles are not displaying registration plates and are being ridden at speed across the football pitches during games and along the pathways through the park. This is extremely dangerous for people using the park and clearly illegal.
"We appeal to the community to provide information that will help us identify the individuals committing this type of behaviour.
"We will take positive action and if necessary seize the bikes if we can identify the people involved.
