A MAN has been taken to hospital with "serious" head injuries after he was involved in a collision in Derby city centre.
Police said they were called to Stuart Street this morning at about 1.55am.
They said the collision was between a 21-year-old man and a taxi and the pedestrian was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham.
A spokesman for Derbyshire police said it was not certain if his head injury was life-threatening. He said a man was being interviewed in connection with the incident.
The road was blocked off for more than 12 hours while forensic investigators examined the scene.
