Four people on trial following the death of a Kilburn man had their case adjourned today after one of them became ill.
Vincent Aitken, 44, his daughter, Emma Aitken, 18, and her partner Nathan Doherty, 27, deny the murder of Barry Smith in October last year close to the Kilburn Welfare Social Club.
A fourth defendant, Pamela Aitken, 41, has pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender. All four are currently standing trial at Leicester Crown Court.
However, Justice Mr Charles Haddon-Cave was forced to adjourn the case today after Pamela Aitken fell ill and the prison service said she would be unable to attend.
The trial is expected to resume tomorrow at 10.30am.
