The family-friendly Festé event will return to Derby this year, it has been announced.
Derby Festé 2014 will take place throughout the city centre on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September and will be produced and presented by Derby LIVE, Déda, QUAD and Derby Theatre.
The annual outdoor arts and cultural event started in the city in 2007 and has established itself as one of the best UK street-arts festivals.
Some acts have already being confirmed for the event including touring company Without Walls, who will bring an enormous, exotic caravan to Derby complete with strange characters who will entertain the crowds while Motionhouse will present a blend of dance and aerial work.
Also confirmed is DJ Woody with Hip Hop is 40 - which is a brand new audio visual DJ show which chronicles and celebrates all things Hip Hop
Stephen Munn, Director of Déda and Artistic Lead for Derby Festé said: "We're delighted to be able to announce the dates for Festé 2014, along with a snapshot of some of the amazing companies who will be performing at the festival this year.
"Working in association with the country's largest festival producer Without Walls enables us to bring a wide selection of the UK's finest artists to the festival, and we're sure that there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
"This year we welcome Derby Theatre on board as a full artistic partner which is another great example of the city's cultural organisations working together to make Derby a fantastic place to live and work."
In order to safeguard the future of Derby Festé, some performances taking place during weekend will be priced and ticketed with details yet to be announced.
