Motorists who drove into trouble with Derby magistrates
ROLANDAS Aleksandravicius, 24, of Almond Street, Derby, fined £600 with costs of £85 and had licence endorsed with six points for driving a vehicle with no insurance on August 5.
SODAGAR Bharth, 42, of Littleover Lane, Derby, fined £45, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £35 and had licence endorsed with three penalty points for using a hand-held mobile phone when driving on August 13.
MICHAELA Clarke, 24, of Salisbury Avenue, Winshill, was fined £192, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £35 and had licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving without due care and attention on December 9.
HICABI Coskum, 28, of Bath Street, Ilkeston, was fined £288, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £28, costs of £35 and had licence endorsed with six penalty points for driving a car without insurance on October 11.
KAREN Gordon, 48, of Sweet Leys Way, Melbourne, fined £79 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and costs of £35 for exceeding the 30mph speed limit while driving along Ladywood Road, Kirk Hallam, on October 6. She was disqualified from holding a driving licence for six months.
ROBIN Sydney Oldham, 34, of Minkley Drive, Langley Mill, fined £74, pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £35 and had licence endorsed with four points for driving in excess of the 30mph speed limit on July 10.
DZINTARS Putrasevices, 18, of Dickens Street, Derby, fined £110, ordered to pay a £35 victim surcharge, £35 costs and had licence endorsed with eight penalty points for driving with no insurance on November 25.
JOSIE Wagg, 27, of Harlench Close, Spondon, fined £57, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £35 costs and had licence endorsed with three penalty points for failing to give information to police about the identity of a driver allegedly guilty of an offence on October 18 and for exceeding a 30mph speed on September 10.

Electoral fraud claim is probed ahead of city vote
DERBY City Council has confirmed it had received a complaint about the integrity of this month's upcoming elections.
Allegations of electoral fraud were made but the Labour-led authority said no evidence was found to back up the claims.
Returning officer Janie Berry said: "A meeting was held following receipt of a complaint but no information was forthcoming to substantiate electoral fraud."
Last year, four Derby women were found guilty of vote rigging.

Surely Derby's disabled can afford 'bedroom tax' deductions because of other good benefits?
SURELY the 170 disabled people living in Derby's social housing would be quite able to afford the small amount extra being deducted from benefits for living in larger than needed accommodation.
All disabled receive very good benefits from the disability living allowance centre for mobility and care.
