A 41-YEAR-OLD scooter rider suffered a broken leg, broken arm and collapsed lung after he came off his ride.
The man was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham, following the accident in Tamworth Road, Long Eaton, at around 3.30pm yesterday.
Police say the Lambretta bike he was riding is believed to have crashed into a wall before bursting into flames.
He said: "The road remained closed until 7.45pm while emergency services cleared fuel spillage and debris from the road.
"His injuries are serious but not life threatening or life changing."
