Short and frequent showers expected across Derbyshire tomorrow

DERBEIANS will be dodging the showers tomorrow as "short but frequent" downpours are forecast.

But the Met Office say we can put away our brollies on Sunday as the sun returns.

However, temperatures will not be as high as were experienced in July, with both days expected to reach a maximum of 21 or 22 degrees C.

Laura Young, from the Met Office, said: "Both days are going to be warm but it won't be a scorcher.

"Saturday will see a few showers and downpours but they will be short in duration but relatively frequent.

"The rain should clear by late afternoon though and the sunshine should return before sunset.

"Sunday is expected to be dryer with more sunshine so you shouldn't need your umbrellas.

"On the whole, over the two days, things are not looking too bad, but Saturday is the day when the rain will come.

"It will be more a case of dodging the showers than sitting indoors hoping the dark clouds pass."
