A 19-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of rape following an alleged incident in Heanor.
Police say a 19-year-old girl made claims she had been assaulted in an alleyway in Heanor Memorial Park, close to the William Gregg VC Leisure Centre.
The incident is alleged to have taken place shortly before 2am yesterday and the jitty was cordoned off while scene of crimes officers gathered evidence.
The teenager remains in custody being questioned about the alleged offence today.
