GUSTS of between 50 to 60mph will hit Derbyshire, along with more rain, this evening.
Between 15 and 20mm of rain has already fallen in the Derby area in the 12 hours until 3pm, according to the Met Office.
It said the highest confirmed amount in Derbyshire was in the Bakewell area, where 19mm fell.
Forecaster Calum MacColl said the next bout of "persistent rain" for Derby would be over a two or three hour period this evening.
He said this would be combined with "50 to 60mph gusts in the county".
This will die off overnight, and be followed by a day of sunny spells and showers tomorrow.
It will be similar weather until Friday, when people in Derbyshire can expect a drier spell.
Mr MacColl said this would not be coupled with any kind of heatwave.
Temperatures are expected to reach 19C tomorrow.
