DERBYSHIRE were on the wrong end of a 10-wicket hammering after being bowled out for 151 by Yorkshire in their Royal London One-Day Cup match at Scarborough.
They never came to terms with a wicket that gave decent carry but was of unpredictable pace after being put in to bat first, leading to a series of mistimed shots and simple catches, but Yorkshire had no such trouble as they won at 155-0 in 29.3 overs.
Adam Lyth was 67 not out and Alex Lees 69 not out.
Derbyshire were not helped by having Mark Footitt ordered out of the bowling attack in the ninth over. He had one warning from the umpire for bowling a beamer at Lyth and had another for bowling three bouncers in the over.
A bowler is allowed only two per over and two warnings means the bowler cannot bowl again in the match.
The Falcons' innings started badly with Wes Durston, a century-maker against Northants on Monday, slashing a cut to third man off the seventh ball at 1-1 and Marcus North followed in Tim Bresnan's last over, caught behind driving for two at 4-2.
Wayne Madsen scored 20 and helped the score on to 52 before he was caught behind off an inside edge and two wickets in successive balls left Derbyshire in big trouble.
Billy Godleman batted nicely for his 36 but mishit a catch to point off Richard Pyrah, then Scott Elstone was caught at slip going hard at his first ball to make it 73-5.
When Gareth Cross tried to clear mid off but picked out Bresnan off Adil Rashid and fell for 11 at 92-6, much rested on Alex Hughes, especially when he lost David Wainwright and Tony Palladino both for five.
Having moved on to 43 with a straight six, Hughes was finally caught at deep midwicket at 138-9 and Mark Footitt was last man out when he was bowled by Steve Patterson. Ben Cotton was 18 not out.
