JAMIE Ward has handed Derby County a boost ahead of Wednesday's Championship clash against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
A hamstring problem forced Ward to miss Sunday's 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest but he has trained this week and will be in the squad to face Rovers.
"Jamie is looking good, looking sharp, and he comes back into contention," said Rams head coach Steve McClaren.
"We missed his energy and his experience against Forest."
Ward has scored three goals in his last three games.
