Seven fans were arrested during the encounter at the City Ground on Sunday, which finished 1-1 and saw Derby reduced to 10 men after defender Jake Buxton was sent off.
Three of those detained were Rams supporters and four were Reds fans, according to police. They said the majority of the arrests were for a pitch invasion which took place during the second-half.
One Derby and one Forest supporter were also arrested for racially aggravated offences and a Rams fan was arrested for violent disorder.
