A NEW head teacher has been appointed for a Long Eaton school.
The governors of Trent College have decided that Bill Penty will be head from September.
Mr Penty is currently second master at Sherborne Girls School in Dorset, having joined in 2007. Prior to Sherborne, he was head of modern languages at Millfield School and head of languages at Whitgift School.
Mr Penty was educated at Repton and studied French at Bristol University and Japanese at Sheffield University.
He is married to Claire and they have four children Phoebe 12, Maddie 11, Eloise 9 and Sebastian 7. Bill cites the outdoors, sport, drama and music amongst his many interests.
On his appointment, Mr Penty said "Trent College is an excellent school providing a broad education as a preparation for a fulfilled life.
"I am honoured to have been chosen to lead Trent College as it approaches its 150th anniversary and beyond.
Claire and I look forward to joining the Trent College community and working with staff and pupils."
