DERBYSHIRE has been basking in much warmer conditions during Saturday than earlier this week when they dipped to freezing.
Temperatures reached 16 or 17C in most parts of the county but failed to beat Madrid has had originally been predicted, as the Spanish capital basked in temperatures up to 21C.
Madrid had been previously predicted 14C on Saturday and 12C on Sunday, according to the Met Office.
Meanwhile Derby can expect even higher temperatures on Sunday, which is Mother's Day, of 19C and probably similar on Monday, with no rain in sight until at least Wednesday.
Don't forget to put your clocks and watches forward one hour as British Summer Time 2014 begins on Sunday at 1am.
