DERBY County head coach Steve McClaren has missed out on the Championship manager of the month award for September.
The Rams were unbeaten during the month, winning three and drawing two of their five League matches.
However, Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy got the nod ahead of McClaren as his side took 13 points from a possible 15.
Middlesbrough's Aitor Karanka and Bob Peeters of Charlton Athletic were the other two managers nominated for the prize.
Tyrone Mings made it a double success for Ipswich as he picked up the player of the month award.
The full-back beat off competition from Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome, Blackpool goalkeeper Joe Lewis and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Ben Marshall.
