MICKLEOVER Sports must try again tomorrow evening to gain a conclusion to their FA Trophy tie against New Mills.
Their first attempt on Saturday fell foul of the weather as fog closed in on the Raygar Stadium, leaving referee Lisa Rashid with no alternative but to abandon the game.
New Mills had taken the lead with a classic route one move. A long ball down the park allowed Porya Ahmadi an unimpeded run and he beat Sports keeper Chris Martin with a crisp effort.
Sports got back on level terms after 56 minutes when a free kick from Chris Palmer found Dwayne Wiley on the edge of the penalty area and he powered home a volley.
